Service terms

Terms of Service

These terms govern access to and use of LET'S SPOT IT, including the current free beta version of the browser-based design revision comparison application.

Last updated: 13 August 2026
Current beta: LET'S SPOT IT is currently provided free of charge. No payment method is required and no subscription fee is currently charged.

1. Service provider

LET'S SPOT IT is currently developed and operated by , an individual based in France (“LET'S SPOT IT”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

Website: letsspotit.com

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, accessing or using LET'S SPOT IT, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service is designed primarily for professional and business use in technical, industrial, engineering, design, manufacturing and project-review contexts. You must have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. What LET'S SPOT IT does

LET'S SPOT IT is a browser-based visual comparison and review tool. It can be used to open two PDF or image revisions, overlay them, adjust alignment and opacity, add visual annotations, perform user-calibrated measurements and export or print a comparison result.

The service is intended to help users understand and communicate visual differences between revisions without requiring a full CAD workflow for every review.

4. Local processing of files

The comparison workflow is designed to process PDFs and images locally in your browser. The application does not upload those drawings to a LET'S SPOT IT server for comparison or cloud project storage.

Because projects are not stored by LET'S SPOT IT, you are responsible for keeping your own original files, exported results and any records you need. Closing or refreshing the application may result in loss of unsaved working state.

5. Accounts and credentials

You must provide a valid email address and keep your login credentials secure. Accounts are intended for the registered user and should not be shared with unrelated users.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account where that activity results from your failure to protect your credentials. Contact support@letsspotit.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

6. Free beta access

The service is currently offered free during beta. Beta functionality may change, be incomplete, contain defects or be removed as the product develops.

We may later introduce paid plans. If that happens, pricing and any additional commercial terms will be presented before a paid service begins. Your current free account will not be charged automatically merely because paid plans are introduced.

7. Permitted use

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and use the service for lawful internal professional, evaluation and review purposes.

8. Prohibited use

You must not:

  • use the service for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive purposes;
  • attempt to bypass authentication, access controls or service restrictions;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the service;
  • introduce malware, automated abuse or excessive traffic;
  • use another person's account without permission;
  • copy, resell or commercially redistribute the service itself without permission;
  • reverse engineer or circumvent technical protections except to the extent such activity is expressly permitted by mandatory law.

9. Professional and engineering responsibility

LET'S SPOT IT is a visual review aid, not an engineering authority.

LET'S SPOT IT does not replace CAD software, engineering verification, dimensional inspection, metrology, regulatory review, certification, professional judgment or an approved technical drawing.

Measurements and visual comparisons may depend on source-document quality, browser rendering, calibration, scaling and user alignment. You are responsible for checking important dimensions, tolerances, specifications and decisions in the authoritative source system before manufacturing, construction, safety-critical work, contractual acceptance or other consequential action.

10. LET'S SPOT IT intellectual property

The service, interface, source code, branding, design, documentation and other materials provided by LET'S SPOT IT are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.

“LET'S SPOT IT” and associated visual branding may not be used in a way that falsely suggests sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation.

11. Your files and content

You retain your rights in the PDFs, images, drawings and other material that you open in the application. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to use those materials.

The local comparison workflow does not require you to grant LET'S SPOT IT a licence to store or exploit your technical drawings on our servers.

12. Third-party services

LET'S SPOT IT relies on third-party infrastructure for parts of the online service, including Cloudflare for delivery and network services, Supabase for authentication/account data and Resend for transactional email delivery.

Availability of those parts of the service may therefore depend on third-party systems that are outside our direct control.

13. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, particularly during beta. We may maintain, update, modify, suspend or discontinue features where reasonably necessary to develop, secure or operate the service.

14. Beta disclaimer

During beta, the service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not make guarantees about uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular technical decision or the absence of software defects.

Nothing in these terms removes any warranty, remedy or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Responsibility and limitation of liability

You remain responsible for professional decisions made using comparison results and for validating those results against authoritative technical sources.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LET'S SPOT IT is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from reliance on a visual comparison without appropriate professional verification.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded for intentional misconduct, gross fault or other mandatory grounds.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting support.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address security threats, unlawful use, material breach of these terms or abuse of the service. Where practical, we will provide notice before a non-urgent suspension.

17. Privacy

Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy also explains the distinction between locally processed technical drawings and online account data.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, subject to any mandatory rights and protections that apply under the law of the user's jurisdiction.

Nothing in these terms deprives a person of mandatory jurisdiction or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be waived by contract.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these terms as the beta evolves or where legal, security or operational requirements change. The current version will show its latest update date at the top of this page.

If a material change requires your agreement, we will ask you to accept the updated terms before continued use where appropriate.
